A Year I'm Really Proud Of in Lake Windcrest

By Ellen Pool · July 17, 2026

This past year I sold nine homes here in Lake Windcrest for more than $9.2 million. Two of them landed in the neighborhood's record books, the 4th and 6th highest-priced sales in our 25-year MLS history, plus the second-highest price per square foot ever recorded here.

I'm proud of those numbers. Of course I am. But they're only part of the story, and honestly they're not the part I think about first.

What I remember most

What stays with me are the conversations before a home ever hit the market. Sitting down with neighbors. Walking through what needed attention, what a buyer would notice, how to show the house at its best.

No two homes here are the same, and that's the whole point of Lake Windcrest. Different acreage, different views, different reasons someone falls in love with the place. You can't price a home here off a few numbers online. You have to know the property, the buyer, and the little things that make a home stand apart.

Every sale is a neighbor

This is home for me. I've lived here, raised my family here, and watched this place grow while it held on to what makes it special.

Every sale this year was a neighbor who trusted me with something big. A home. A financial decision. Often a whole new chapter. That's the part I'm most grateful for.

A quiet word of pride

This year Pool Realty Group was named the #1 small team in Magnolia, Texas by sales volume and transaction sides. That one means a lot to me, and not because of the ranking. It's because this is home. I've lived here, raised my family here, and watched this place grow while holding on to what makes it special.

I also earned my GUILD Elite designation this year, the top level of luxury home marketing certification. For me that just means more tools to do right by the higher-priced homes here at home. Not a badge. A better way to serve the people who trust me with theirs.

Thank you, Lake Windcrest

So yes, I'm proud of the rankings and the records. But more than anything, I'm grateful I get to do this work here, for people I care about, in a neighborhood that's meant so much to my family.

Thank you, Lake Windcrest. It never feels like just another sale.
